Nutrition for your toddler or preschooler

Most toddlers and preschoolers like to eat small, frequent meals. They typically eat breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a morning and/or an afternoon snack.

A toddler’s stomach is quite small and does not need much food to feel full. As a result, it is important to offer nutritious food and let your child regulate how much they eat. The same guidelines apply to preschoolers, especially as they are exploring a wider range of foods and developing their eating habits.

As your child becomes familiar with new textures of food, it important to balance their solids with suitable drinks and watch for possible choking risks.
