Key points

  • If your child has a fever over 38°C (100.4°F), numbness, seizures, vomiting or headaches, call your family doctor or go to the nearest Emergency Department.
  • Leave the dressing on for 24 hours before removing it.
  • Give your child acetaminophen for headaches or pain.
  • Your child can return to regular activity 48 hours after the myelogram.
