<p>Propafenone is an anti-arrythmic medicine. It is used to correct irregular heartbeats.</p> | | <h2>How should I give my child propafenone?</h2>
<p>Give this medicine:</p>
<ul><li>at the same times every day, at evenly spaced intervals </li></ul> | <h2>What should I do if a dose of propafenone is missed?</h2>
<ul><li>Give the missed dose as soon as possible, if within 4 hours of the usual dosing time. </li>
<li>If you don't remember within 4 hours, do not give the missed dose. Give the next dose at the usual time and go back to the regular dosing schedule. </li>
<li>Do not give more than one dose at a time. </li></ul> | | <h2>What are the possible side effects of propafenone?</h2>
<p>Notify the doctor if your child continues to have any of the following symptoms or if these symptoms become bothersome:</p>
<ul><li>dizziness or lightheadedness</li>
<li>unusual tiredness or weakness </li>
<li>headache</li>
<li>dry mouth </li>
<li>blurred vision </li>
<li>change in taste </li>
<li>diarrhea or constipation </li>

<h3>Contact your doctor immediately if your child has:</h3>
<ul><li>fast or irregular heartbeats </li>
<li>shortness of breath </li>
<li>swelling of the feet or lower legs</li>
<li>chest pain </li></ul> | <h2>What other important information should I know about propafenone?</h2><ul><li>Always tell your child's doctor or pharmacist that they are taking propafenone. Taking other medications at the same time as propafenone may cause problems with the way that one or both of the medicines work. </li><li>Tell the doctor or dentist that your child is taking this medicine before any surgery, including dental surgery.</li><li>Keep propafenone and capsules at room temperature in a cool, dry place. Do not store them in the bathroom or kitchen.</li><li>Do not share your child's medicine with others. Do not give anyone else's medicine to your child.</li><li>Make sure you always have enough propafenone to last through weekends, holidays, and vacations. Call your pharmacy at least 2 days before your child runs out of medicine to order refills. </li><li>Do not keep any medicines that are out of date.
